We had a amazing stay at this hotel. The location was one of the best aspects, as it was right on the banks of the Dordogne River and surrounded by glorious gardens. The hotel facilities were excellent, including the beautiful chapel on the grounds. The breakfast provided was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel's location in this charming area made it feel like we were in a veritable Garden of Eden. We especially loved the terrace overlooking the river, where we had unforgettable meals. It truly was the ultimate romantic getaway.
There was nothing we didn't like.

Staff aware of creating a special chateau experience
The mattresses and pillows are of average quality and not at all comfortable. The menu is very expensive.

The location of this hotel is truly remarkable. Situated by the river, on the cliffs overlooking the Dordogne river, it offers breathtaking views that can't be beat. To add to the charm, the chapel on the grounds serves as the perfect setting for a peaceful escape. the rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable, with spacious bathrooms and luxurious amenities. the service is top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff attending to every need. the breakfast is a delightful start to the day, with fresh and homemade ingredients.
There was one aspect of the hotel that was disappointing. the options for dining outside of the hotel were quite limited, with the closest food options being a 10-15 minute car ride away in Lacave.

A wonderful chateau in a marvellous position.
We thought the chef was trying too hard - too many (irrelevant?) ingredients per dish; it would be good to simplify a little.

Awesome location, right on the banks of the Dordogne and with beautifully maintained gardens. If you ever wanted to stay in a castle make it this one: it looks and feels like a medieval castle and still has all the comforts of a luxury hotel. The restaurant is excellent as well and makes for unforgettable memories, especially if you can eat on the terrace overlooking the river (weather permitting). For us it was the ultimate romantic getaway!

I recently stayed at this luxurious hotel and I must say, it was absolutely stunning. The location, right on the banks of the river, was breathtaking. I couldn't believe how beautiful the gardens were, so well-maintained and full of life. And the best part? This place felt like a medieval castle! It had the charm and elegance of a bygone era, but with all the modern comforts you could ask for. The service was top-notch, the staff always ready to assist with a smile. The room was incredible, with a mini-bar, a cozy sitting area, and free Wi-Fi. The bathroom was luxurious as well, complete with a telephone and a bathtub. I felt like royalty during my stay, it was truly a dream come true.
I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

What a fantastic experience staying at this hotel during Christmas! The rooms were beautifully decorated and had all the necessary amenities. The staff was very welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. We loved the special treats that were provided in our room, such as cupcakes, pitted prunes, and chocolate covered walnuts. The location was perfect, with breathtaking views of the river. We also enjoyed exploring the gardens and taking a dip in the large pool. a truly magical Christmas experience.
There was really nothing negative about our stay at this hotel. However, it is worth mentioning that the outside dining area can get quite hot during the summer.

Beautiful view and excellent food at dinner. the staff are welcoming and the gardens are well kept. Convenient location for visiting nearby attractions and easy access to the main road.
The room was smaller than expected and needed updating. the bed was uncomfortable and the linens were scratchy.
